Starting Salary 36,000
4 on 4 off Day shift

Are you a skilled Site Fitter with the ability to install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical machinery? If yes, read on.
My client is an established firm in the recycling sector, based in the North East of England and commutable from Chester, Frodsham, Birkenhead and Heswell. They are currently looking for a skilled Site Fitter to work closely with the team to deliver preventive, reactive and upgrade projects on the site with a view to develop into a senior engineer on-site.
The Role:
- Ordering spares and equipment in a timely manner to deliver maintenance delivered on time
- Ensuring all plant is operational for maximum production periods to facilitate weekly targets and goals by product line
- Ensure all engineering work areas are organised, clean and safe – including tools and equipment
- Delivering maintenance projects on time and to budget
- Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all systems on site
- Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
- Using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals to complete projects
- Advising management when to replace aged mechanical/electrical equipment to prevent hazards
- Conducting general systems maintenance and troubleshooting issues with testing equipment
- Making both minor and major repairs on various plants and equipment
- Maintains daily and weekly work records to ensure all engineering activity is recorded
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Strong manual dexterity and eye to hand coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel to support work-in-progress and engineering schedules
- At least five years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring
- Proven troubleshooting skills to determine electrical and mechanical malfunctions
- Experience working with heavy plant machinery / recycling sector
- Mechanical and / or Electrical engineering qualifications

- Based at Ellesmere Port site
- 7am-7pm (4 on 4 off day shift)
- 28 days holiday total (expected to work bank holidays as part of shifts)
