AECOM is seeking an Offshore Wind Environmental Compliance Observer. This is a remote position, but the field work is in a vessel on the Atlantic Ocean deploying from Boston, MA, New York, NY and Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities include but aren »t limited to the following:
- Performs standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.
- Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
- Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.
- Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
- Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related field.2+ years as a field environmental inspector and/or field natural resource scientist with construction oversight experience and/or education.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- US Citizenship Required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of prior experience as a field environmental inspector and/or field natural resource scientist with construction oversight experience.
- The ability to work extended hours and at times overnight construction is desirable.
- Offshore ECMs that have offshore survey/safety certifications also desirable.
