Our optical lab is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our growing manufacturing operation and work with state of the art equipment.
Seeking two qualified Production Supervisors for the following shifts:
Sundays- Tuesday, 4:00pm – 4:30am
General Summary: Responsible for supervising the daily functions of a department including meeting production goals, hiring and developing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises production in the Department.
Tracks hourly production numbers at each work station.
Manages consumables and budgets.
Communicates with maintenance department to ensure all equipment is running properly.
Using late lists, tracks down old trays and expedites them through the lab.
Reduces breakage by reviewing broken items and implementing plans to ensure issues do not reoccur.
Identifies fixable trends and root cause issues; recommends and implements solutions.
Works with other department supervisors to resolve interdepartmental issues.
Submits daily reports on department progress.
Schedules all work and vacation time for associates.
Reviews associate performance and maintains performance records.
Assists Production Manager with interviewing and selecting associates for Department.
Oversees training of associates.
Cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department.
Updates and implements department Policies and Procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures.
Requires 3 to 5 years of experience in related work
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Beginner to Intermediate knowledge in MS Office including Word and Excel
No specific education level required.
Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing, mass production setting required
Optical industry experience preferred.
Must be able to read and write English.
Beginner to Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excel.
