Patient Access Representative – Grants Pass
Asante is currently hiring Patient Access Reps in both our Outpatient and Emergency departments for full-time and part-time benefited positions, as well as, flexible workforce/on-call positions that include a variety of schedules and shifts.

These positions are based out of Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass.
Salary: The typical starting range is between $17.00 to $21.25 (based on qualifications and years of relevant experience)
Position Summary
The Patient Access Rep for Outpatient provides customer-service coverage in centralized registration areas such as front office, outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department locations of Asante and assumes the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Hours covered are from early mornings to evenings with potentially some weekend shifts. Extra shift differentials are paid for weekend hours.
The Emergency Department requires 24/7 coverage and the Patient Access Rep for the ED provides customer-service coverage in emergency department locations of Asante and assumes the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Typically, the ED Patient Access Reps work 12-hour shifts (for either the day/evening hours or the late evening/night hours). This role requires registering patients as needed whether in the department, the exam rooms, or in the patient »s room. The positions for the Emergency department also pay extra shift differentials for swing, night, and weekend hours.
Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, the Patient Access Rep performs imperative duties, including but not limited to:
- Appointment scheduling
- Registration and insurance verification
- Telephone coverage and data entry
- Filing protected health information (PHI)
- Patient referrals and point-of-service collections
In this role, the Patient Access Rep is also responsible for thoroughly and accurately describing the various compliance and regulatory documents that Asante is required to present to patients – while always being aware of maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Asante »s financial solvency.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate »s degree in business, healthcare, or related field is preferred
Experience
- Patient registration, or related customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience is required
Licensure/Certifications
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management, preferred
