Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
- Reviews labor hour reports submitted by departments
- Performs the balancing of hours and processes payroll for multiple entities
- Reviews and approves payroll discrepancies
- Processes wage garnishments in accordance with applicable laws
- Prepares weekly tax liability deposits
- Works with other department personnel to resolve issues
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation of employment tax returns for Federal, State and Local governments
- Maintains confidentiality of all employee and company information and provides superior customer service
- Complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
- Understanding of department policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Infinium and the Time and Attendance software
- Understanding of Federal and State wage and hour laws and payroll tax laws
- Knowledge of the Federal Tipped Employee Participation Agreement (TEPA)
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work independently
Training Requirements:
- Must be HIPAA certified
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Office work environment
- Must be able to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
