This role interfaces across multiple functions of the business to ensure that the business Change Process is implemented effectively.
The role also works across multiple Defence products dealing with a range of complex Partner Company and Customer interactions required to manage the changes we make to our product configurations. This includes coordination and effective negotiations with external organisations.This role also provides exposure to the programme management skill along with understanding the technical implications of a change including interpretation of commercial, financial and implementation planning information relative to a given change.

What you will be doing
  • Understanding the impacts of modifications to Configuration Data Integrity is vital to this role so attention to detail, robustness and rigor are important qualities.
  • Support the management of product definition changes for services projects through implementation of Change & Configuration Management principles, business rules, processes, and procedures.
  • Represent Rolls-Royce with partner companies in Configuration or Change process meetings, process working groups and Change Boards and travel to customer and consortium offices as required.
  • Review change documents for process adherence and quality and manage their further processing until closure.
  • Lead discussions at local Product Change Board (PCB) meetings and record decisions in the change management system (including generation of Agendas and Minutes)
Who we are looking for
  • Higher Education in Engineering (minimum BTEC/HNC or other equivalent).
  • Well organised and self-motivated with the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and organisations.
  • Experience in a Change Management, Configuration, or Project leadership position.
  • IT literate with the ability to work within a range of IT systems.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Configuration & Change Management CM2 certification.
  • Project Leadership certifications such as APMQ.
  • Experience with Change Management toolsets.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management toolsets.
