Job Description
Based in Middletown, Connecticut, Middlesex Health, a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, includes Middlesex Hospital, a not-for-profit magnet hospital with 275 beds, and two Middlesex Health Cancer Center locations. It also features three emergency departments and two urgent care centers, along with many other programs and services. Position Summary:
To provide a safe and secure environment for all persons utilizing the Hospital premises and to patrol the building and grounds to prevent fire, thefts, vandalism and other crimes. To check for unauthorized persons entering and to direct persons on parking. Report all hazardous conditions and to take corrective action if possible.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State of CT Security Officers Identification Card required – active and in good standing
- Valid Driver’s License – active and in good standing
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills, able to deal with all people in a variety of situations
- Demonstrates good judgment, flexibility in changing circumstances, compassion
