Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Edward Air Force Base is seeking an Early Career Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be providing flight test aircraft support, creating documentation to modify aircraft, on-aircraft troubleshooting, installing Operational Flight Program (OFP) updates, post flight mission anomaly resolution and generating detailed troubleshooting plans and reports.

Tasks also include coordination and execution of preflight and post flight activities to ensure aircraft »s test readiness. Tasks also include provide engineering direction to ground maintenance personnel as required for troubleshooting or aircraft readiness.

Perform on aircraft troubleshooting of the F-22 Avionics Systems in support of flight and ground tests specializing in Common Integrated Processors and associated hardware/software. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

A willingness to work off hours and weekends on an occasional basis is necessary.

Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor »s degree in Engineering or Computer Science Degree highly preferred with a strong background in Avionics and aircraft operations

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a current or recent (within last 5 years) Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:
Engineering or Computer Science Degree highly preferred with a strong background in Avionics and aircraft operations
Previous experience with advanced modular based avionics
Developmental flight test experience
Experience using MS Excel PV-Wave
Experience with troubleshooting equipment such as PASS 1000/5000 1553 BUS monitor, fiber-optic test equipment, digital storage oscilloscopes and familiarization with the VAX/VME based computing environment. Matlab and MS Excel experience is a plus.

Requires experience with state of the art aircraft system technologies such as integrated modular system architectures, fiber optics, high capacity memory devices, fault isolation technologies, high speed data busses and MIL-STD-1553B communications busses.

Microsoft office skills.

Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with test team members to achieve mission success. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be a self starter.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
