The Warehouse Operations Associate is a skilled merchandise handler who works as part of a team to complete daily tasks and assignments within the HERBL warehouse. The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for working with other associates to complete assigned tasks using best practices and maintaining HERBL standards of behavior for safety, teamwork, and productivity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform order fulfilment, inventory control or administrative duties as assigned, including picking, staging, checking, wrapping, labelling, replenishing, counting, running systems jobs, preparing documentation etc.
- Maintain knowledge and expertise of HERBL policies, SOP’s, and best practices and well as regulatory requirements for handling and recording cannabis products within the warehouse.
- Contribute to an environment that embraces, safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Operate materials handling equipment to pick, store, and stage material. (Subject to training prerequisites).
- Perform required pre-use inspections of all equipment daily and complete required reports.
- Maintain effective communication with coworkers and supervisors to support the smooth workflow of daily tasks.
- Maintain and protect all company property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
- Stocks distribution and fulfillment packaging materials, equipment, office supplies, and consumables
- Performs daily data entry updates to the company »s inventory and shipping software to reflect accurate progress status of all orders on a daily basis.
- Coordinates pickups and deliveries with distribution vendors and follows pre-ship checklists to ensure accurate and compliant ships
- Creates and transmits compliance documents for all customer orders as needed
- Stages and sorts outbound orders by sales priority
- Strictly adheres to all department procedures, controls, logs, and forms necessary to accurately track inventory, and prepare, stage, and track, all customer orders
- Ensures all product storage areas are left secured, organized and clean
- Abide by all department safety programs
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- This job operates in a warehouse setting.
- This position requires the ability to frequently lift cases of products and supplies up to 30 pounds and to transport these items from one location to another.
- This is a full-time position and shift time will vary based on assignment.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
EQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1 year of prior work experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
